What is NCAccess.exe? A window popped up after starting the ncsoft launcher asking for permission to update. I've never seen this before and what with all the account thefts recently.

Is this a legit file ncsoft???

This is the first I've heard of anything like this. Let me do some research and get back to you. For now, any additional information that you can supply would be helpful.

I've just confirmed that this file is safe and was pushed out this morning as part of a launcher upgrade. If you clicked no the first time, it should pop up again in the near future. Clicking yes won't hurt you.

From what I've been told, it works to modify certain Aion files that may or may not increase performance. Nothing too major, but an addition nonetheless. I don't believe that denying it will have any negative impact, but it does have the potential to have a positive impact on your gaming experience.

We made a tiny change to the client, that's hardly worthy of a dedicated announcement or patch note. These things happen all the time -- this should in no way be "suspicious".

Don't get me wrong, I understand why people would be concerned and suspect it to be a malicious file. This is the primary reason why we clarified quickly that the file was safe. My previous comment was in regards to those still suspicious even after the confirmation.
