A while ago we announced that plastic surgery was incoming this month -- barbering/hairstyle changing will be a part of that.

I wish I could materialize information for you. In case you missed it though, the hottest out of the stove right now is 2.0 landing in Korea first half of the year and us working hard to adapt and bring the relevant parts of this to you guys with as little delay as possible. For more details we'll have to get closer up.

Maybe next time I just start learning Korean and read their site.... that seems to be where the action is... thanks.
This has to my knowledge not been explicitly announced on the Korean website either. "2.0 coming to Korea first half of the year" is a tidbit that came from a financial conference. When we have solid dates and solid content plans we will announce these for everyone to see.

Seriously, get off Twitter and sort out the official communication methods, and I'll add, the most commonly used methods of communication.
Twitter is one of our official communication methods. You seem to be worried that it takes up a lot of my time to write notices on there, but I can assure you that the time requirement is minimal compared to the vast audience it reaches.

I'm actually curious to hear about this. We monitored our comm channels after this week's maintenance and have gone from a substantial increase in lag reports following maintenance (I still don't know what the issue was) to none at all or very few. This indicates that this one is, if not resolved (that's a bold statement), at least much less intrusive.

Did you have any problems specifically after today's maintenance?

And please tell me why the Forum information thread has had no updates since November? It's not like it's been smooth sailing for the past 3 months and there is nothing to post on there. Known lag issues, server maintainence extended by 3 hours. You know.... the sort of stuff a CM should be relaying via official forums.
We're working on a fresh set of forums since we have greater concerns with them than this one, bear with us.

The time you spend on Twitter would be much more effectively used posting updates on methods of communication which are more actively used by your customers. It doesn't matter if it takes you 5x longer to post a website update than a Twitter update if 10x more customers and potential customers use the website than the Twitter feed.

There seems to be an ongoing problem with your attitude towards your customers. You are under the mistaken belief that what is easy for you is best for your customers. This could not be further from the truth. What is easy or hard for you is completely irrelevant. You exist to serve us and your responsibility is to "get it done" regardless of effort required.
Going onwards we'll actually look at better integrating Twitter with our website. I think Aionsource has taken one step of many in adding our Twitter feeds to the forum -- but it still needs some filtering. The #Aion IRC channel has also done something quite cool in creating a bot that reads the feed and reposts in the IRC channel. If you're a trusted regular in the channel, you can even message back directly.

Having the above said, I still want to stress that Twitter is only a casual communication channel for us. We don't post important things exclusively there, we just post shorter intel bits, snippets and other more or less interesting pieces of trivia that wouldn't make for an entire news post.
